Dear Deer Lover,

I know EXACTLY how you felt when you saw this for the first time; I felt the same way when I saw one of these (exactly the same) on eBay a couple of weeks ago, and I, too, HAD to buy it (but it's for my mom, as she's "deer-crazy", having all kinds of 'em coming through their yard, complete with young'uns).

It's certainly a sellers' market for these things, too. You said you paid $50 for it. On eBay, I paid $11.50USD + $17.75 shipping (but the parcel included a pair of china candlesticks as well) and it came from Washington state. I'm in Canada and even with the exchange rates, I think I did rather well on this purchase!

There's a few books which look REELY good on Amazon.com if you want to learn more about Royal Copley; each of the ones I saw there also included both a history of the company and a price guide with pictures of the pieces they produced.

Just FYI........
